The painting on the singing bowls say "OmMani Padme Hum" (hail to the jewel in the lotus) and otherauspicious Tibetan symbols. These singing bowls are painted to makeit more visually appealing but still produces a complex but deepand melodious sound. This kind of singing bowl has been used forgenerations as decoratives as well as during meditation, for music,relaxation, personal well being, healing energy, chakra creationetc.
